How is it that supporting an unsupportable war for empire is viewed as "supporting our troops"? We are talking about our children here, and the regime is using them for cannon fodder. Take the blinders off, "soldier", and stop believing the regime's pack of lies.

I know that there are many in the military who can feel in their hearts that this war is not a good idea.

For our childrens sake, please say no to this war.
Don't be afraid to lay down your weapons and walk away from the killing. You can do it!

Does this lone pro-war advocate not understand that Hitler was a fascist; and that fascists are pro-war, not to mention pro-extreme blind nationalism and also for the institution of police-states (sort of like the great US of A)? Does he not realize the plethora of parallels we can make between Bush and Hitler? It's great to see that this guy supports America and all that Bush's America now stands for--blind patriotism, the endless slaughtering of innocent peoples, the erosion of civil liberties (upon which his great country was founded), and a culture of fear which allows for these atrocities to continue. I bet he's also pro-life...

You are either joking, or you are insane, and contempable to boot. Comparing Bush to Hitler? Are you high, or just stupid? You turn my stomach with your simple-minded blathering. Did you see the video of Daniel Pearl's head being CUT-OFF by these Islamofascist bastards for the reasons that he was an
American, a journalist, and a Jew? Do you really, actually believe that you live in a police state? This is Hawaii for Christ's sake. Are you a Communist, who finds your own freedom, and the freedom of others too frightening to face? Please, please do us all a favor and leave this "police state" soon. Renounce your citizenship, and go live somewhere else- someplace that fits you better. Bitch.

It's not our problem
by A War monger Monday, Mar. 24, 2003 at 2:38 AM

Not My Problem!

A mouse looked through a crack in the wall to see
the farmer and his wife opening a package; what food
might it contain?

He was aghast to discover that it was a mousetrap!
Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the
warning, "There is a mouse trap in the house, there
is a mouse trap in the house."

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head
and said, "Mr.. Mouse, I can tell you this is a
grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to
me; I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is
a mouse trap in the house."

"I am so very sorry Mr.. Mouse," sympathized the
pig, "but there is nothing I can do about it but
pray; be assured that you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow, who replied, "Like wow,
Mr.. Mouse, a mouse trap; am I in grave danger,
Duh?"

So the mouse returned to the house, head down and
dejected to face the farmer's mouse trap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the
house, like the sound of a mouse trap catching its
prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was
caught.

n the darkness, she did not see that it was a
venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife and the farmer
rushed her to the hospital.

She returned home with a fever. Now everyone knows
you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the
farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the
soup's main ingredient.

His wife's sickness continued so that friends and
neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To
feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well, in fact, she
died, and so many people came for her funeral the
farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide meat for
all of them to eat.

So the next time you hear that someone is facing a
problem and think that it does not concern you,
remember that when the least of us is threatened, we
are all at risk.

And so it may be with Germany, France and the anti-War protestors
one day................................

Iraq Attack
by Wayne Tuesday, Mar. 25, 2003 at 6:47 AM

9/11 was an attack upon our country. Iraq helped sponser the attack. They have a "hijackers training facility" with a plane to train terrorists. Many members of Al-Quaida are Iraqian Military Intelligence, including that top ranking guy they just caught. How long do you want to give Iraq to disarm? 10 years? It's already been that and more! Iraq openly pays a bonus to the families of Palestinian homicide bombers. They are involved in many terrorist attacks. How stupid do you have to be not to know that Iraq is a cowardly terrorist nation that hates and attacks America and it's allies? (Sorry if you don't like that Israel is our ally. Write your congressman if you don't like it. Perhaps your would rather Cuba be our ally? Again, write your congressman.)

Iraq, like all terrorist nations, is great at killing women and children while hiding and lying about everything. They like to torture innocent civilians in their own country. They can sneak around and plant bombs pretty good. They like to pretend to surrender then start shooting at our troops. When it comes to real war, however they just crumble.

They have no integrity, no culture, no honor, no courage, no brains. Guess what? You anti-war protesters look the same when you ally yourselves with Iraq. That's why people are disgusted with you.

Bush and Saddam are the same thing...you want to hear a funny Bush quote?
after being asked why he wants and supports the war? his reply was
"...after all, he tried to kill my Dad..."
it was hilarious...people fight bush because he is the voice of the true murderers and "Evil Doers" his entire cabinet has always been pro-war. Everyone knows Bush has the IQ of a potato, and is incapable of tying his shoe laces, let alone lead a country...I've stressed in a lot of the other threads that the pro-war people need to research their topics first....so I won't lecture anything else in here except for this...I'll give them one area to research...it's one of my favorite topics...South America...learn about the attrocities commited there...that's just one example...

by Bush is not Saddam Friday, Mar. 28, 2003 at 7:00 AM

One love, your mommy says you have to be at least 6 years old to post on this site. Bush is not Saddam. Saddam is a true, actual, real-life megalomaniac and a dictator. He kills people for real, not just in your imagination like Bush. He is a real, honest to god tyrant and monster- like Stalin, or Mao. Bush is an elected President of a free country. He has never had anyone eviscerated, or raped. He does not have people's ears, eyes, and testicles cut off. Now run along- it is past your bedtime. Leave the computer forums to adults who know how to compare one thing against another. Some day, when you are older, you will understand.

I don't know if War is right or wrong, but if Saddam's agendas threaten to impact my day to day life, then fuck it, GO BUSH. I want to be able to blaze up a fat one and watch a good flick on dvd, without worrying about a towel headed motherfucker getting crazy on behalf of his god, country, or farm boy turned President.

WARNING!

A Soldier, jbusch, and all the other lying, hypocritical wannabe war criminals who have hounded these pages for the last few months are dedicated to spreading lies, black propaganda, threats, and fear in an attempt to stop reasonable debate about the current crisis in US democracy and the imperialist war aims of the BushMob.

Each time one of these vile little pseudo-patriots opens his mouth you can be sure I will be there to denounce his vicious duplicity. Claiming to honor freedom, they are nothing more than ignorant bullies who want to stifle TRUE free speech and prevent a REAL exchange of ideas. I invite you take a look at how they have effectively stopped every commentary string on this site with their threats and intimidation.

I urge you all to get on with the debate, and ignore any comment that sounds stupid enough to have come from the pea-brain of the Great El Busho himself . . . .

Must we resort to name calling? How old are we? This is so ridiculous and I guarentee you if we lived in Iraq we wouldn't have the privelege to argue like 8 year olds, we'd be too busy trying to save our lives and the lives of those we love... will anything happen in this country to make us unite as a community and wake up? I thought 9/11 taught us all a big lesson about what is truly important in life, as well as show us incite into our own government, instead it has been used as an exuse for more fighting. Reading all these messages does not fill me with hope, it fills me with terror. Please stop the name calling, it really makes you look hypocritical. Peace.

by jbusch Monday, May. 12, 2003 at 7:38 AM

You ask ME to stop name-calling? Fine. I am working on it. But give me a serious break. I have been called a Nazi, a fascist, a monkey, a homosexual, a vile little psuedo patriot, a circus dog, and on and on and on.
Not that I care. I think you can tell something about a person by the character of his opponents and enemies. I continue to maintain that the United States has NOT been taken over by a fascist coup, and for that am called "resident buttlicker", etc... so please don't give me a bunch of sop about how MY namecalling hurts your heart.
What 9-11 taught me is that there are some truly ruthless, amoral enemies of our civilization in the Muslim world. There was cheering in Palestine, and in Pakistan, and Afganistan. I watch Americans jump to their deaths from 110 stories rather than be burned alive.....THAT hurt my heart, and when I saw the contemptable Marxist trash that passed for intelligent opinion on this website I responded.

I still put it to regular readers of this site that your are being duped by anti-American forces outside the country. This site is affiliated with the World Worker's Party, and the anti-Jewish, anti-US bilge that passes for "news links" is disgusting. Read the recent pro-Stalin posting if you don't believe me.

As I said, you can tell alot about a person by their opponents, but you can also tell alot by their allies, and the allies of Indymedia should make alot of you people think very hard about what you do and dont support.

First of all, Al-Qaida is not an Iraqi organization. Second of all, I guess you don't know how many Al-Qaida have been trained in the U.S. at the Schoool of the Americas.... and I am assuming you also don't know that Bush flew the Bin Laden family out of the U.S. the day after 9/11 (they were having a conference on their mutual corporation's interests) and if you don't belive that(as I know we have a hard time believing things if it isn't told to us by the mass media) you can find it in the NY Times issue (I believe it is the January or February issue after 9/11, I would be happy to find it again for you if you'd like to read it). I am assuming you also don't know that the U.S. "OPENLY" pays Isreal (matter of fact we also give them the weapons) to kill Palestine civilians. Attacks America and it's allies???? Besides 9/11, when have our lives really been jepordized by Iraqi citizens, let alone Al-Qaida? Do you realize that you can go to public U.S. government documents and find out about all the "terrorist" acts we, the U.S., have preformed on other, less wealthy nations? I am not anti-American, matter of fact, I love my country and I love the ideals that are it's backbone (do you know your constitution?)... this is why I am utterly depressed when I hear you, a fellow U.S. citizen, talk about crucial U.S. issues like you know all about it and have the right answer, like these issues are nothing more than a petty fight that you must win... what are your resources? Are they one sided? Who are the people you debate with? Do you debate? or do you just like to talk without listening to other sides? The point is not that people don't want Israel as our ally, the point is that we want to have healthy relationships with our allys... we want to support our allys in becoming democracies, like us, not dictatorships. And your remark about Cuba was out of line and un-necessary. Perhaps Fidel is off his rocker a bit, kinda like Bush, but this doesn't mean the entire country of Cuba is a terrible place with terrible people, nor is Iraq. I am curious, have you ever been out of the country Wayne? Where? How old are you? Do you have a job? I am only curious, not undermining you.
And, of couse Iraq crumbles when the U.S. annhiliates them! Because they don't have a billion dollar military budget to use against us nor do they have chemical weapons to use against us (but do you know that the U.S. has the most chemical weapons in the world? But that's okay, were the U.S. right?)

Wayne, Iraq has no culture? Did you ever go to college? I am asking seriously because, if you did, perhaps you may have taken a sociology, anthropology, political science, government, world culture, or psycology course. Who do you think you are to say that an entire country that is one of our oldest societies/cultures, has no "culture, no honor, no courage, no brains"? I would like to know, where did your own intelligence go when writing that message? I know you must have some intelligence, as you seem to care a lot about this war and our country. Please, use that intelligence, otherwise readers assume that you have none.
